Everything you need to roll your own pure beeswax candles — right out of the box. Six sheets of pure Australian beeswax foundation, cotton wicking, and easy-to-follow instructions, all beautifully packaged and ready to go. No melting, no mess, no special equipment. Just your hands, a warm room, and a little patience.
The beeswax sheets are stamped with the same hexagonal honeycomb pattern found in the hive — the exact shape bees build with to store their honey and produce the wax itself. It's a pattern that goes all the way back to the source, and it gives every rolled candle that beautiful textured finish that is unmistakably beeswax.
Roll all six sheets as full-length dinner stick candles — approximately 20 cm tall — or cut each sheet in half with kitchen scissors to make 12 smaller meditation candles. Either way, you end up with pure Australian beeswax candles you made yourself, ready to burn at your next dinner party or quiet evening at home.

Goes Buzzingly With:
Is it hard to roll a beeswax candle?
Rolling a beeswax candle takes a little practice to find the right tension — too loose and the candle won't hold its shape, too tight and the wax can crack. But it's very achievable for beginners, and the easy-to-follow instructions included in every kit walk you through the process step by step. With a little practice, you'll have the satisfaction of burning candles you rolled yourself.
A brilliant activity for all ages
Rolling beeswax candles is a wonderful hands-on activity for kids — a real opportunity to learn where beeswax comes from, how bees build their honeycomb, and what it means to make something by hand. It also makes a brilliant activity for kitchen teas, hens nights, birthday parties, Hanukkah celebrations, and 100 days of school events.
The honeycomb connection
The beeswax foundation sheets in this kit are stamped with the hexagonal honeycomb pattern — the same shape bees have been building with for millions of years. In a traditional beehive, foundation sheets like these are given to bees as a starting point for building their comb. When you roll one of these candles, you're holding a piece of that story in your hands.
Safety with children
Making candles is a wonderful family activity — burning them requires adult supervision. Always supervise children around lit candles, keep matches and lighters out of reach, and never leave a burning candle unattended. Candle wax can remain hot for some time after the flame is extinguished.
Don't want to roll your own?
If you'd rather not bother rolling your own, take a look at my Rolled Look Beeswax Candles — hand-poured candles with the same beautiful honeycomb texture, in a ready-to-burn form. Or if you'd prefer a pre-rolled dinner stick, our Hand-Rolled Dinner Sticks are ready to go straight to the table.

NEVER LEAVE BURNING CANDLES UNATTENDED
Always stay within sight of a burning candle. Extinguish all candles before leaving the room or going to sleep. Never place a burning candle near curtains, fabric or other flammable materials.
ALWAYS BURN ON A SUITABLE SURFACE
Place your candle on a heat-proof plate or purpose-made candle holder before lighting. This protects your surfaces from heat and catches any wax if needed.
WICK TRIMMING
Before each burn, trim your wick to 5–6mm. A well-trimmed wick keeps the flame steady, reduces a chance of smoke, and helps your candle burn evenly. If the wick develops a small mushroom-shaped tip, extinguish and trim it away before relighting.
KEEP OUT OF DRAFTS
Suz E Bee Candles burn at their best in a still environment. Keep your candle away from open windows, fans, and air conditioning vents. A flickering flame isn't just distracting — it causes uneven burning, can cause dripping and shortens your candle's life.
BURN TIME
Allow your Pillar candle to burn for at least two hours for its first burn — this prevents tunnelling and ensures an even burn every time. As a general guide, allow at least one hour of burn time for every 2.5cm of your candle's diameter.
Allow your candle to cool and resolidify completely between burn sessions.
TEA LIGHT CANDLES
Due to their design, Tea Light candles must always be burned in a Tea Light cup. Suz E Bee Candles Tea Lights are designed to burn in one complete session.
VOTIVE CANDLES
Due to their fluted design, votive candles must always be burned in a specific votive holder. Votives are designed to liquefy fully as they burn, and a proper holder keeps all that beautiful melted wax contained. Allow your votive to burn for a minimum of 2 hours per session so the wax melts evenly to the edges — extinguishing too soon can cause tunnelling and leave wax clinging to the sides.
EXTINGUISHING YOUR CANDLE
Dipping your wick is a far better way to put out a Suz E Bee candle. Blowing out a candle risks spattering hot wax, leaves a smoking wick, and sends that lingering burnt smell drifting through the room — right over the top of the lovely aroma your candle has been building.
Instead, use a wick dipper to gently push the wick down into the pool of molten wax to extinguish the flame, then straighten it back up. A purpose-made wick dipper is ideal, but the end of a pencil or wooden skewer works just as well. No wax splatter, just a tiny wisp of smoke — and your wick is perfectly primed and ready for next time.
WICK STRAIGHTENING
Check that your wick is centred and upright before lighting. A leaning wick can cause uneven burning and wasted wax. Monitor whilst burning and straighten where needed. Straightening it while the wax is still warm and soft after extinguishing each time is good practice — it only takes a second.
CANDLE END OF LIFE
Your candle should stop burning when approximately 1cm of wax remains at the base. Every Suz E Bee candle is designed this way intentionally — at this point the wick will extinguish itself naturally as it reaches the remaining wax.
BEESWAX BLOOM
You may notice a powdery white or dusty film appear on the surface of your candle over time. This is called bloom, and it's completely natural — it's actually a sign of pure beeswax. Gently buff it away with a soft cloth if you prefer, or simply leave it. It won't affect how your candle burns.
