Bold, striking, a little unexpected and ghoulish or creepy to some — my own Mum can't stand them, and a few customers can barely look at them!
But carved crystal skulls are a favourite for collectors who want something a bit different. I've got quite the penchant for them myself, with plenty in my own personal collection, so I know exactly what to look for. Before anything else, every skull I select has to pass the "great teeth test" — if the teeth aren't right, it doesn't make the cut.
I have regular customers who seek me out at pop-ups and events just to see what new skulls I've acquired since we last met. Each piece is hand-selected and polished from natural stone, so the exact colour and pattern is unique to that piece. A statement piece for your shelf or altar, or a memorable gift for someone who loves the unusual.
I'm confident in my eye for selecting amazing, unique crystals — but photography isn't in my zone of genius!
