Hand-poured from 100% pure Australian beeswax by Suz in Port Stephens, it burns on the same light spectrum as natural sunlight — the brightest, most natural light of any candle. Because it contains no synthetic fragrances, dyes, or chemical additives, pure beeswax is one of the cleanest candles you can burn indoors. A soft natural honey fragrance drifts through the room as it burns.

What is a Skep?

A Skep is the name given to the upturned woven basket traditionally used as a beehive. Skeps were widely used until the Victorian era, when more accessible and reusable hive designs took over. Because the Skep had to be destroyed to access the honey and honeycomb inside, they were labour-intensive — though some smaller beekeepers still use them today, keeping the dying art of Skep-making alive.

Displaying your Small Skep

The Small Skep looks beautiful grouped in threes or displayed alongside the Large Beehive Skep for a striking hive-inspired arrangement. Its size makes it ideal for wedding bonbonniere, table place settings, or as a sweet addition to a gift hamper.

A note on colour

Beeswax colour varies naturally from batch to batch depending on the season and what the bees have been foraging on. This is completely normal and a sign of genuine, unbleached wax.

Candle burning tips

Trim the wick to around 5 mm before each burn for the cleanest flame. Keep out of drafts, and never leave a burning candle unattended.

Shipment processing time

Crystal (only) orders are processed and dispatched within 2-4 business days. Orders are not dispatched on weekends or Public Holidays.

Orders containing Candles will take up to 10 business days to be dispatched. This is due to each candle being hand-made to order. Orders are not dispatched on weekends or Public Holidays.

If your order has a mixture of Crystals and Candles your order will be sent as a whole when the candles are ready for dispatch.

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. All orders are sent via Australia Post.
